WHICH TEACHERS CAN I EMAIL?

Our aim is to cover the full spectrum of teachers in schools, from Newly Qualified Teachers, through the various subjects and into administration. We plan to have most of these running by 2009.
We will also be covering both primary and secondary school teachers in different groups, so that you can target your mailings directly.
Above is a list of the subjects we are covering, with notes on which subjects are coming in the near future.
If you would like us to bring a subject up the list and launch it sooner rather than later we can certainly discuss this with you - particularly if you are willing to commit to advertising on the service a number of times in the first year.

Management
This service has been running since late 2006 under the name Education Management News. Subscribers include headteachers, deputy heads, and some year heads, and heads of key stage.
The service is divided into a primary and a secondary section, and the items mailed to the service are displayed for about two weeks on the schools website
In June 2008 the subscription levels were:
Primary Education Management News - 1700 subscribers
Secondary Education Management News - 1900 subscribers |
Careers and 6th form
This group reaches careers teachers and sixth form tutors. It covers careers information for students who leave at 16 and 18, plus course information from colleges of FE and HE, and of course universities.
The service launched at the start of October 2007 and is now running at around 1000 subscribers. |
Administrators
Administrators can be reached in two ways...
First there is the Administrators' Newsgroup which we run, and which in June 2008 had approx 2300 members.
But it is also possible to use the generic schools' lists.
Although for all other subject areas the generic list cannot be equated with the lists that are part of Email Teachers Direct, for administrators it is possible to use the generic general lists, because for the most part it is the administrator who receives such emails and deals with them.
In 2007 the School of Educational Administration advertised its National Certificate course via this email list. The one year course has an intake each term, and previously the course had been advertised through direct mail. The direct mail campaign continued as before but this time an email campaign was added - with all 29,000 schools being e-mailed once. Whereas 30 students were expected to join the course, based on previous intakes. In fact 42 students signed up. Although the increase cannot definitively be assigned to the additional email campaign, it seems hard to ascribe it to anything else |
ICT
We have recently launched a news service for ICT teachers. The number of subscribers is currently around 400. |
Senco
We have recently launched a news service for Senco teachers. The number of subscribers is currently around 750. |
PSHE
We have recently launched a news service for PSHE teachers. The number of subscribers is currently around 450. |
Fundraising/PR
We have recently launched a news service for School Fundraising and PR managers. The number of subscribers is currently around 600. |
Maths
We plan to launch a maths newsgroup shortly. If you have a particular interest in this area or think you may like to advertise to this group, please call us - 01536 399000 |
Forthcoming
The next list we shall be developing is that of the marketing and PR manager of primary and secondary schools. Please call for the latest information on this list.
We are willing to look at developing Email Teachers Direct with any group of teachers. If there is a particular group you want to reach and you are willing to sponsor the group for a while, or you would like to become customers of our direct mail service, or maybe clients of our email service, or of our regular mailers division "Velocity" then give us a call on 01536 399 000.
Even if you don't want to do any of that but would like to email one group of teachers direct that we don't yet cater for, call anyway. You never know, you might be able to persuade us.
